Sterling Silver Medal of St. Rita, Patron Saint of Impossible Causes - 7/8"

7/8" Satin and antiqued finish sterling silver St. Rita oval medal on an 18" stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The pendant features a raised profile image of Saint Rita on the front, who is shown at prayer and holding a circlet of thorns. On the top and bottom of the pendant are the words, "Saint Rita Pray For Us". The back of the medal is blank with a brushed finish but can be engraved with the message of your choice. Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box. Saint Rita was an Augustinian nun who was known for the efficacy of her prayers - various miracles are attributed to her intercession, and she is often portrayed with a bleeding wound on her forehead which indicates a partial stigmata. She also often holds a circlet of thorns. She was canonized in the year 1900 by Pope Leo XIII.
