Sterling Silver Medal of St. Elizabeth, Patron Saint of Nurses - 7/8"

7/8" Satin and antiqued finish sterling silver St. Elizabeth oval medal on an 18" stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The pendant features a raised profile image of Saint Elizabeth on the front, who is shown holding a basket of bread, characteristic of her devotion to the poor and the hungry. On the top and bottom of the pendant are the words, "Saint Elizabeth Pray For Us". The back of the medal is blank with a brushed finish but can be engraved with the message of your choice. Saint Elizabeth, who during her lifetime was known as Elizabeth of Hungary, lived for only a short while, but during that time she was a child, princess, mother, queen, widow, and exile. She was one of the most pious women to ever live, and directed all of her actions and intentions to God, as well as regularly giving alms to the poor. Her life was devoted to the aid of the poor and the sick, thus her being the Patron Saint of Nurses.
