1" Satin and antiqued finish sterling silver St. Gerard oval medal on a 24" stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The pendant features a raised profile image of Saint Gerard on the front, who is shown holding a cross. On the top and bottom of the pendant are the words, "Saint Gerard Pray For Us" and crosses stamped on both the left and right sides. The back of the medal is blank with a brushed finish, but can be engraved with the message of your choice. Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box. Saint Gerard Majella grew up in a family of seven in poverty, instilling in him a great respect for the poor. He was known to often be fasting and in prayer, and took vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. He is accredited with several miracles, including restoring a boy's life after he fell from a cliff and saving an expectant mother on the verge of losing her child, thus being known as the Patron Saint of Expectant Mothers.
