3/4" Satin finish sterling silver blue enameled shield miraculous medal with a decorative border on 18" stainless steel rhodium plated chain. Around the outside of the frame, which has Mary in the center, are the words, "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee." The back of the medal features the letter M, representing Mary, surmounted by a cross representing the sacrifice of Jesus, and surrounded by twelve stars that represent the twelve apostles. Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box. The origin of the miraculous medal comes from the visions Saint Catherine Laboure experienced in the year 1830 of Mary Immaculate.
