Sterling Silver Medal of St. Luke, Patron Saint of Doctors & Artists - 1" [2]

1" Sterling silver satin finish and diamond engraved St. Luke, Patron of Doctors and Artists medal on 24" stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The front of the medal has a stamped image of St. Luke with the words "Saint Luke Pray For Us". The back of the medal is blank with a brushed finish. Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box. Saint Luke is the author of the Gospel According to Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. He was also a companion to St. Paul the Apostle. While information about his life is not widely known, the New Testament mentions him briefly and refers to him as a physician. Thus, he is the Patron Saint of Doctors and Artists. He is believed to have been a martyr, reportedly having been hanged from an olive tree.
